White Cake

White cake is a simple one, featuring a fine, moist crumb. It is made like most plain cakes, but the big difference is egg whites are used. This gives white cake its characteristic pure-white coloring. It is a shortened cake, meaning it uses fat as a main ingredient and is leavened with baking powder.  

Vanilla Cake

It actually just refers to the flavor of a vanilla custard (aka the classic French way of making ice cream from cream and egg yolks). French vanilla cake mimics a custard flavor by including egg yolks in the batter, making it a yellow cake.  

Yellow Cake

Yellowcake (also called urania) is a type of uranium concentrate powder obtained from leach solutions, in an intermediate step in the processing of uranium ores. Yellowcake concentrates are prepared by various extraction and refining methods, depending on the types of ores.

Chocolate Cake

Chocolate cake is beloved for its deep, rich flavor. As such, be sure to use the highest quality cocoa you can find. The darker the hue of the cocoa, the more satisfying the chocolate flavor will be 

Fudge Chocolate Cake

"Fudge cake" is also a term in the American South to refer to a dense, single-layer chocolate cake served with or without icing. It is similar to a brownie, although more moist with more chocolate. 

Marble Cake

A marble cake is a cake with a streaked or mottled appearance (like marble) achieved by very lightly blending light and dark batter. It can be a mixture of vanilla and chocolate cake, in which case it is mainly vanilla, with streaks of chocolate.

Lemon Cake

The 'lemony' flavor in a lemon cake is from the volatile oils which are present in the fruit's zest,(mainly nerol, limonene and citral). I would not advise adding actual lemon juice to the cake as it will disrupt the ratios in the cake recipe and usually the tart, zingy flavor gets lost anyway after baking. 

Carrot Cake

Carrot cake is a sweet and moist spice cake, full of cut carrots and toasted nuts, and covered in cream cheese icing. One part of the cake is that the orange flakes of cut carrot give the cake color and texture, along with sweetness and moisture. 

Spice Cake

Spice Cake is traditionally flavored with a mixture of spices. The cake can be prepared in many varieties. Predominant flavorings include spices such as cinnamon, cloves, allspice, ginger and nutmeg.

German Chocolate

German chocolate cake, originally German's chocolate cake, is a layered chocolate cake filled and topped with a coconut-pecan frosting. The filling and/or topping is a custard made with egg yolks and evaporated milk; once the custard is cooked, coconut and pecans are stirred in. 

Red Velvet

Red Velvet Cake is traditionally a red, red-brown, crimson or scarlet-colored chocolate layer, cake layered with ermine icing. Traditional recipes do not use food coloring, with the red color due to non-Dutched, anthocyanin-rich cocoa. Common ingredients include buttermilk, butter, cocoa, vinegar, and flour. 

Confetti Cake

Confetti Cake is a type of cake that has rainbow colored sprinkles baked into the batter. It is called confetti cake because when baked, the rainbow sprinkles melt into dots of bright color that resemble confetti. Typically the batter is either white or yellow to allow for a better visual effect. 

Oreo

This Oreo cake is beyond decadent. Filled with chopped Oreos, which add both creaminess and crunch, and the buttercream is literally to die for! Something about all the cookies blitzed into the frosting is just transformative. 

M&M

Loaded with butter and vanilla flavor, it has a tender moist crumb. The M&M'S minis milk chocolate baking bites give the cake a touch of chocolate and a little crunch in every bite.

Icing's

Fondant

Fondant is a playdough-like sugar paste that can be rolled out and draped over a simple or sculpted cake. It is usually kneaded until very silky and pliable and can be used to create a smooth seamless finish on cakes in any color. 

Buttercream

A relatively thick and dense frosting that's very sweet and rich, it's made by creaming butter with confectioners' sugar until the mixture is spreadable. Vanilla extract is usually added for flavoring, and I like to add a small amount of room-temperature milk or cream to help give it a silkier texture. 

White

Icing, or frosting, is a sweet, often creamy glaze made of sugar with a liquid, such as water or milk, that is often enriched with ingredients like butter, egg whites, cream cheese, or flavorings. It is used to coat or decorate baked goods, such as cakes  

Vanilla / Whipped Vanilla

Icing, or frosting, is a sweet, often creamy glaze made of sugar with a liquid, such as water or milk, that is often enriched with ingredients like butter, egg whites, cream cheese, or flavorings. It is used to coat or decorate baked goods, such as cakes 

Chocolate

This Chocolate frosting is essentially a chocolate buttercream because it's made with lots of softened butter that is whipped together with powdered sugar, cocoa powder, vanilla and milk  

Strawberry

Confectioners' sugar, butter, strawberry puree and vanilla extract into butter mixture. 

Lemon

Powdered sugar, lemon juice, freshly squeezed. Lemon zest, freshly squeeze. Yellow food coloring. 

Coconut Pecan

This Coconut Pecan Frosting is a rich and decadent stovetop frosting made with eggs, pecans, butter, sugar, coconut, and evaporated milk used on German Chocolate Cake.

Sugar Free Vanilla Frosting This is a rather simple frosting recipe.  Milk- can use sugar free, unsweetened, or low sugar alternative*. Butter. Vanilla or other extract

Bavarian Cream

Bavarian cream tastes like rich vanilla custard. This is mainly due to the fact that the base is made with creme anglaise which is essentially a vanilla custard. After it's set and folded with the whipped cream it becomes very rich and thick. 

Strawberry

This is a cooked filling which consists of strawberries (fresh or frozen), and sugar. Add all ingredients to a small saucepan, and heat on medium/high heat until it comes to a boil. 

Lemon

It is a sweet, tangy topping with a strong lemon taste (much stronger than, say, a lemon custard). Lemon curd's texture is smooth and silky, similar to a very smooth, creamy custard, and thick enough to be spread on scones and other foods. 

Chocolate
